Solar roof of 1 MWp at wholesale company in Zwaagdijk

At a new construction site in Zwaagdijk, we realized a 1 MWp PV solar roof system on the flat roof of a wholesale company. The result is an energy-neutral building that generates its own sustainable electricity and is ready for the future.

A total of 2,152 solar panels were installed with an east-west orientation to make the best use of the available roof area. This configuration ensures even energy production throughout the day and minimizes peak loads on the grid connection.

The system is fully integrated with the lightning diversion system, ensuring maximum safety and reliability. In addition, the solar roof is prepared for future expansion with a BESS battery storage system, so that generated solar energy can be stored and used efficiently later.

This project shows how companies with a 1 MWp solar roof can not only reduce their CO₂ emissions, but also take an important step toward energy-neutral business.
