BESS System of 600 kWh and Solar Panels of 418 kWp at Agricultural Farm in North Holland

For an agricultural company in ‘t Veld (North Holland), we realized a BESS battery storage system of 600 kWh in combination with a PV solar panel installation of 418 kWp. This smart energy solution enables sustainable business despite grid congestion and a limited grid connection.

Because a larger connection was not available, we installed three batteries of 200 kWh each and 880 solar panels. The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) stores excess solar power when consumption is low. At times of peak consumption, the batteries feed energy back to the company so that the maximum capacity of the grid connection is not exceeded.

Thanks to this combination of solar energy production (PV) and energy storage (BESS), the grower can continuously continue his business operations without energy waste or grid problems. The result: maximum utilization of renewable energy, lower energy costs and a future-proof agricultural business.
