Solar panels on Gigafactory in Berlin

For a leading car manufacturer in Berlin, ETURN has completed one of its most impressive solar energy projects: the installation of 14,958 solar panels on the Gigafactory in Berlin. The project is part of the client’s ambitious sustainability strategy, which is committed to energy-efficient, carbon-neutral production.

A key requirement of the client was that the installation should not disrupt the ongoing production process. The Gigafactory runs continuously, making precise coordination between the ETURN project teams and the factory crucial. Through tight planning, safety protocols and phasing of the work, ETURN was able to install the solar panels without any production downtime.

High-quality execution and maximum yield

The solar panels and inverters used belong to the Tier 1 segment within the industry. With a total capacity of nearly 15,000 panels, the system produces an annual output of just under 6,000,000 kWh. That is equivalent to the energy consumption of about 2,000 households.
All the energy generated is used directly in the plant, making the site largely self-sufficient in electricity and drastically reducing energy costs.
