BESS Energy Storage Colocated with Windmill

At this customer, ETURN installed an advanced 5MWh BESS energy storage system, colocated with a wind turbine.
Until February, the battery will work with the wind turbine to optimize energy consumption and efficiency, temporarily storing surpluses and resupplying them at peak times.

After the removal of the wind turbine, the battery remains independently operational and is deployed to the energy market through a CBC (Capacity Based Contract) or CSC (Capacity Service Contract).
This keeps the system economically viable and contributes to a stable and flexible power grid.

The plant consists of a Jinko container solution with an energy capacity of 5MWh and a power output of 2.2 MW, controlled by a Power Electronics PCS.
The system is also prepared for expansion with a second 5MWh BESS container for additional storage capacity.

The foundation consists of cast concrete on foundation piles, ensuring long-term stability and safety.
The plant will be commissioned and fully integrated into the energy management system in the coming months.

With this project, ETURN demonstrates how colocated energy storage with wind power is a powerful solution for grid flexibility, energy trading and renewable power optimization.
