Solar farm 3 MWp in Warmenhuizen with cable pooling

In Warmenhuizen, we are creating a 3 MWp solar farm that will be connected to the same grid point as existing wind turbines via cable pooling.
This innovative approach makes double use of the grid connection and avoids the need to request a new connection – an important solution in times of grid congestion.

To make the best use of the available surface area, an east-west orientation of the solar panels was chosen. This distributes energy production more evenly throughout the day, increasing the efficiency of the system and lowering the grid load.

The combination of wind and solar power via cable pooling allows both plants to work together smartly: when there is little wind, the solar panels provide extra power and vice versa.
This results in more stable, sustainable energy production on one shared grid connection.

The solar park is also prepared for expansion with a BESS battery storage system.
In the future, this will allow energy to be stored when supply is high and delivered back at times of high demand. In this way, the renewable energy generated will continue to be used in the best possible way and the project will contribute to a more stable power grid.
