One of our largest greenhouse projects to date includes multiple greenhouses on the same site.
Working closely with the greenhouse builder, the solar panel supplier and our own technical teams, we completed this large-scale project in record time.
For the installation of the solar power system, some greenhouses had to be partially rebuilt and reinforced to make the structure suitable for the integration of solar panels.
In addition, space has been reserved for the future installation of a battery system (BESS), which will allow excess solar power to be stored and used efficiently at a later date.
Meanwhile, the greenhouses remain operational as usual and are still used to grow vegetables for the Dutch market.
Thus, sustainable energy generation and food production are cleverly combined within one location – an excellent example of multiple use of space in the greenhouse sector.
