In the North Holland polder, we have been trusted to install a 30MWh / 13.3MW battery arrangement at the Groetpolder Wind Farm, a wind farm of 6x 2.2MW wind turbines.

In addition to being co-located at a wind farm, this battery system also has a 12MW solar farm. Thus, the 2-hour BESS system must store wind and solar generation at the right times and then deliver the power back to the grid at a better time.

To realize this system, the medium-voltage grid will be cut, cables will be imposed and a new system will be created where Solar, Wind and Storage work together to ensure flexibility in the renewable energy system.
