EV charging station with Solar Carport in Germany

ETURN realized an innovative Solar Carport with 180 solar panels for an EV manufacturer and charging station operator in Germany. The project was carried out on the basis of a design request, with ETURN completely handling the technical elaboration and realization – from engineering and fabrication to erection on site.

The solar energy generated is delivered directly to the car charging stations, making the charging station largely self-sufficient in renewable electricity. This creates a future-proof charging solution with minimal grid dependence.

The Solar Carport features double-glazed solar panels with transparent film, which allow sufficient light to pass through while reflecting heat from direct sunlight. This creates a bright and cool atmosphere under the carport – ideal for comfort and aesthetics.

When the sun goes down, the LED lighting system automatically switches on. The lighting fully complies with applicable safety and brightness standards, keeping the carport safe and well-lit even after dark.
